The scripture says that the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17). So, praying scripture is a powerful weapon against cancer and an excellent way to pray God’s heart. Each segment of our prayer time is grounded in scripture. Then, we pray as the Holy Spirit leads.
The bulk of our intercession time is devoted to prayers for those in attendance who are in great need of physical healing. If you need a miracle, we will pray for a miracle. We pray out of faith that God’s will is for every person with cancer to be healed, either supernaturally or in combination with medical treatment. Emotions are often intense when cancer is diagnosed, but God can help us manage our emotions so that they don’t have power over us and consume us.
A cancer diagnosis often raises questions about our theology and can be a significant time of faith testing. God is our Father and wants us to bring our questions directly to Him. He is not afraid of what we are thinking or feeling. We don’t have to try to pretend to think or believe a certain way to please Him. God is looking for people who are REAL, and praying our questions to Him gives Him opportunity to teach us and comfort us and grow our faith so that it is strengthened and proven genuine.
ACTIVATE THE CURE gatherings are meant to be a safe place where anyone is welcome to pour out their heart to Jesus. Please respect the sensitivity and confidentiality of what is shared during our prayer time.
Remember, what is prayed in the group, stays in the group!
