First and foremost, we walk with you. Our desire is that you will never feel alone.
We are a group of Christians from various streams of the Christian faith, and each week we meet together to pray with cancer fighters, long-term survivors, friends, family, caregivers and anyone who has a heart to pray against cancer.
The core belief of our ministry, which is based on the ministry of Jesus, is that God desires every person with cancer to be healed. This truth is grounded in New Testament scripture. The goal of our ministry is to partner with God to ACTIVATE this truth through prayer.
In addition to praying for those with cancer, we are committed to seeking the Lord's help in finding the cure by praying for local doctors, scientists, businesses, and organizations devoted to cancer research.
Cancer fighters are encouraged to attend our prayer gatherings before, during or after any medical treatment. We will help you address your spiritual, physical and emotional needs through prayer. If you can't come yourself, ask a friend or family member to come and pray on your behalf. All are welcome. Come once, come every week -- whatever works for you!
Our gatherings are not traditional support groups, but are focused entirely on seeking God's help through prayer in the midst of a cancer diagnosis. Whether you've been recently diagnosed or are a long-term survivor, let us come alongside you. Read our participant guide in advance so you can get a feel for our structured format. You are welcome to just jump in and pray with us, or feel free to come and observe quietly. If you've never prayed in a group before, or if you aren't comfortable praying in general NO WORRIES! We've got you! Our prayer gatherings are a safe place to learn and grow.
Truths in scripture may apply to us, but their fulfillment is not automatic. We have to partner with the truth in faith to see it ACTIVATED. -Rev. Rick McKinniss, Wellspring Church, Berlin, Connecticut and Leader of Connecticut Prays
