what we believe

  1. There is one God, who exists as the trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 8:6; John 10:30; John14:26).
  2. Jesus Christ is the Son of God (1 John 4:15; Luke 3:22).
  3. God releases His power and presence through the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35; Acts 1:8) who lives inside every person who believes in Christ (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; 2 Corinthians 6:16; Ezekiel 36:27; 2 Timothy 1:14; Acts 6:5; Romans 8:9,11).
  4. The Holy Bible is the inspired and authoritative written word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).
  5. Without Christ, we are separated from a life-giving relationship with God (Romans 3:23, 24).
  6. All who believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior are united by faith into the body of Christ (i.e., the church; see 1 Corinthians 12:13; Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 4:1-16).  Just as the human body is made up of many parts, each with its own vital purpose and function, the body of Christ (the church) is made up of many different parts and each one has a vital purpose and function (1 Corinthians 12:12-25).  We respect and welcome all people from all Christian denominations.
  7. When Jesus Christ came to earth as a human, He healed every sick person that came to Him (e.g., Matthew 4:23,24; MORE).  The life and ministry of Jesus reflect the heart and will of God, that every person diagnosed with cancer be healed.  READ MORE about our theological position.
  8. Prayer is essential to the Christian faith and is a powerful weapon against cancer (e.g., Luke 11:1-13; 18:1; Ephesians 6:18; Colossians 4:2).
  9. Jesus performed many miracles when He lived on earth as a human, and miracles still happen today (e.g., John 10:25; John 14:12; 1 Corinthians 12:10).
  10. Medicine is a gift from God and workers in these fields are agents of God's goodness and compassion (Romans 11:36; James 1:17). Healing via medical treatment is biblical.  READ MORE about faith and modern medicine.

"We have a tendency in our society to divide ourselves into little religious pigeonholes.  Every little pigeonhole has to agree with everybody and everything in that particular group. If you do not agree with everything, then you have to go to another pigeonhole.  Tozer thought this idea ludicrous.  There are certain fundamentals of the faith to which we all must embrace and adhere, but then, as Tozer would muse, we must always allow room for mystery.  So many things in the spiritual realm remain a mystery.  Where we get into trouble is trying to define all of the mysteries."  -James L. Snyder in his Introduction to "Experiencing the Presence of God" by A. W. Tozer
